Wanneer het signaal voor de distributie binnenshuis, in kantoorgebouwen of sporthallen, in een microgolfsysteem, moet het microgolfvermogen vaak worden toegewezen op basis van de vereisten. Er wordt een richtkoppelaar gebruikt om een deel van het transmissievermogen in de transmissielijn te koppelen.
